Hello and welcome to Joyful Journeys — I’m Michelle Sanders, founder, associate pastor, and minister with a deep passion for empowering the next generation.
Joyful Journeys is a 501(c)(3) non for profit organization born from both a calling and a conviction — a calling to serve youth and families through faith, and a conviction that no young person should ever feel alone, unseen, or without purpose. My background in early childhood education, healthcare, and science and technology has given me a unique lens through which I view healing and growth — one that integrates the heart, mind, body, and spirit.
As a pastor and servant leader, I’ve walked alongside families facing trauma, teens battling depression, and communities struggling to break cycles of violence. Through it all, I’ve seen the incredible power of faith, mentorship, and meaningful connection. That’s what Joyful Journeys is all about — creating safe, nurturing spaces where youth can discover who they are in Christ, develop strong character, and rise into leadership with confidence and compassion.
Every program we offer is rooted in love, guided by purpose, and fueled by the belief that healing is possible — and that every life matters deeply to God.
